Why The Middle Seat?

A middle seat is the most dreaded place on an airplane but not for my friend Cliff Eslick. He passionately talks about why he made a goal to always select a middle-seat when flying. First, it helped him lose 50lb to fit in the middle seat and second he discovered it gives him the opportunity to know two individuals.

It is his innate way of looking at things differently – doing simple things that help you get out of a rut and helps think outside of the box – which makes the journey of life exiting and bring rewards along the way.

Isn’t that a wonderful and inspiring perspective? Sometimes, all a person needs is a little perspective.

“TheMiddleSeatStories.com” is my attempt to share my perspective on different things. and hopefully learn yours, too.

Fantastic approach, I love it. Still not going to find me in a Middle Seat, however.

The more complex something is, the more time we spend thinking about it and the less time we spend observing. I have learned more in this life from what I have observed than by anything I have thought.

Brian, thanks for sharing your perspective.. thinking vs observing. I would call it “noticing”. “The Noticer” is a great read.
